I think it is that we eat a bit later than many people do, and this is a meal that can be warmed up if you get too busy with going to the door to give out Halloween candy. Now that we have grandchildren, we go out trick or treating with them, and eat our dinner much later, and it makes it hard to be with the kids AND at home answering the door each time the bell rings. So, we have been leaving a huge bowl of candy out for the goblins to take by themselves and then we have come home to our late dinner and our fireplace too. We had snow before Halloween two years in a row so that fireplace was very much appreciated after walking through snowy streets with the kids the past two years. Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween night.ceblainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16192522179238414380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6045092226099490038.post-60562711349220149622013-10-25T08:21:51.529-05:002013-10-25T08:21:51.529-05:00What a lovely post, and what a fun way to bring a ...What a lovely post, and what a fun way to bring a sense of tradition to Halloween. In our family, Halloween means lots of birthdays! My husband and his oldest brother share a birthday on the 30th, one of their sisters is the 29th, and their youngest brother and my brother's wife are both Halloween babies.
