HAPPY JOURNALING!
Deborah--Most authors begin with journaling and I see it as an integral part of growing as a writer. I urge new writers to journal, to write poetry, and short stories as an exercise for the really big projects--novels! And it's a good idea for writers to continue to journal through the years for the purpose of benchmarking your strengths, talents and growth.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to keep a journal so I could look through it and see how I've grown and changed.

I keep a journal in every room in my house and in my car so if I think of something that should go in my newest novel, I won't forget it.

Mine are filled with ideas. I love to find an old one and look through it...the older the better. It's as if I discovered a path and now I know where it leads.
